The Elections Department oversees all federal and state elections within the County of San Benito. In every election, San Benito County prepares voter information pamphlets in English and Spanish for over 37 thousand registered voters. The Elections Department also ensures election laws and campaign disclosure requirements are enforced, maintains a statewide database of all registered voters, educates citizens about their voting rights, and promotes voter registration and participation. Additionally, the Elections Department is also responsible for registering local residents to vote, maintaining voter records, providing informational outreach, and conducting local, state, and federal elections.
